James E. Scott

James E. Scott, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away at his home on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was 81 years old. James was born January 21, 1945. He is preceded in death by his wife, of 50 plus years Betty Woods Scott. His parents, Albert & Beulah Scott , his in-laws, Virgil & Fora Begley Woods, a brother, Al Scott and Son, Wesley Sprecher.

He leaves behind his daughter & son-in-law, Kelly Scott Williams & Paul Williams,  sisters,  Barbara Powell & husband, Lester and Donna Osborne & Travis Land, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 nephews & 1 niece. As well as a host of family & friends who loved him dearly.

He served his military time in the U.S Army from 1962-1965 as a radio operator in Korea. He spent his life in the construction field until he retired in 2005 from MI Homes in Florida. He spent any free time he had fishing. James was a Dad, Son, Brother, Grandfather & Uncle even a Great Uncle. He cherished his roles in life. He will be sadly missed.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.
