James Ray Lawson

James Ray Lawson, born May 9, 1972 in Florida the son of the late, Charlie Lawson & Sadie Gay Lawson. He passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Lexington, KY. He was 48 years old. James had been a resident of Leslie Co. for 30 years. By occupation he was a coal miner. He was of the Holiness Faith. James Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting & spending time with his grandchildren.

James Ray was preceded in death by his beloved parents & loving & devoted wife, Jean Lawson. He leaves the following relatives surviving; beloved sons, Tony Estep & Sherry, Timmy R. Estep & Glenna, Terry Estep & Sue & James Williams & Brittany all of Bear Branch, KY., beloved daughters, Darlene Estep, Bear Branch, KY., Donna Smallwood & James, Beverly, KY., Tina Estep & Danny Davidson, Hyden, KY., Brandy Wooton & Tim, Bear Branch, KY., Tonya Estep & Russell Baker, Bear Branch, KY. & Sonya Hoskins & Steven, Bear Branch, KY., 2 brothers, Randy Lawson & Vickie & Charles Lawson & Patty, both of Florida, 26 treasured grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of treasured aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hal's Fork Pentecostal Church, Bear Branch, KY.

Ministers: Ben Mosley, Bobby Dwayne Holland & Randy Woods

Interment: Family Cemetery, Bear Branch, KY.

Pallbearers: Tim Wooton, Steven Hoskins, Kenny Estep, Geno Estep, Marshall Estep & James Williams
