Hubert Gene "Geno" Begley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Busy, Kentucky, on July 28, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on July 8, 1962, in the state of Ohio, Geno’s warmth, decency, and unwavering love for family became the hallmarks of a life deeply cherished by all who knew him. By occupation Geno was a coal truck driver for Gayheart Trucking.
Geno will be forever remembered by his devoted wife, Deborah Kaye Begley, who stood faithfully by his side throughout the years. Their journey together was marked by enduring love, mutual respect, and a bond that weathered every challenge with grace.
He was the proud father of Gene Begley (Natasha) and Joanna Lea Lewis, who carry forward his legacy of kindness, strength, and integrity. His presence in their lives was a guiding light, and his wisdom will echo in their hearts.
Geno’s family was the center of his world. He was a loving grandfather to Ashley, Alexander, Gene (Joey), Matthew, Kaylee, and Jacob, as well as a great-grandson, Emmett, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. The memories created with his grandchildren are a precious legacy, filled with laughter, guidance, and affection.
He is survived by his brother, Johnny Begley, and sisters, Mary Ann Hignite and Irene Couch, whose lives were enriched by his unconditional support and brotherly love.
In mourning, the family remembers those who preceded Geno in death: his father, Emmett Begley, his mother, Eliza Crawford Begley, his grandparents and his son-in-law, Brasley Lee Allen Lewis. Their memories remain cherished and honored in countless family traditions and shared stories.
Throughout his life, Geno cultivated meaningful relationships and made a lasting impact through his steadfast loyalty, gentle humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. His passing leaves a space that can never be filled, yet the legacy he leaves behind—rooted in love, togetherness, and resilience—lives on in those who had the fortune to know him.
He loved spending time with his family, collecting hot wheels, knives and guns. He was of the Baptist Faith.
As we say farewell to Hubert Gene "Geno" Begley, we honor a life well-lived and a spirit that touched so many. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and the community.
