Hershel Lincoln Begley was born on September 16, 1935 in Leslie County, KY, the son of the late Alfred and Creola Sizemore Begley.  He is survived by his wife and mother of his children, Sadie Eversole Begley of Hyden, KY, his children, Jackie Davidson of Wooton, KY, Sandra Simpson (Darren) of London, KY, Karen Noland (Robert) of Ardmore, OK, his siblings, Roseann Williams of Hazard, KY, Bonnie Lou Deaton of IN, Jessie Begley of Berea, KY, Harvey Begley of Confluence, KY, R. J. Begley of London, KY, and Ronnie Begley, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.  Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two children, Sharon Williams (Woodrow) and Valerie Begley, also siblings, Louvena Frazier, Raleigh Begley and twin sisters.  He was a retired coal miner and was affiliated with the Baptist faith.

Hershel departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 being 83 years, 7 months and 22 days of age.
