Harlan Wayne Turner, a beloved member of the community known for his dedication to his work as a coal miner at Tri Energy, his service as a Chief at Coon Creek Fire Dept., and as the proud Owner of Turner & Sons Garage, passed away on March 26, 2024, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 47.

Born on November 21, 1976, in Hazard, KY, Harlan was a man who found joy in simple pleasures. He was passionate about fishing, coon hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family. His warm personality was evident to all who knew him as he spread love and kindness wherever he went. He was affiliated with the Church Of The Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Woodrow Turner & Helen Clark Turner and cherished daughter Elizabeth Ann Turner.

Harlan will be deeply missed by his wife Ethel Turner, sons Johnny Darrell Jones, Austin Turner & Angel, Alvin Turner & Kenzie, Wayne Jr. Turner, daughter Jessica Paige Turner, brothers Lonnie Turner & Michael Turner, sister Judy Turner, grandchildren, Carson, Waylon, Cole, Jesse, Adam, Presley, Ben , Kristiana and a host of close friends including Jason Turner, David Clark, Randall Clark, Tim Clark, and Junior Ray Clark. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends also survive.

The visitation will take place on Friday - March 29th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ in Smilax. A funeral service will be held the following day on Saturday - March 30th starting at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating.  The interment will follow in the Rocky Branch Cemetery, Yeaddiss, KY. with full fire fighter rites observed.   The following will serve as pallbearers: Alvin Turner, Austin Turner, Johnny Darrell Jones, Ben Barton, Andrew, Turner, Travis Turner, Randall Clark & Junior Ray Clark.  We invite you to leave your condolences for the family at our website.
