Frank Collett

Mr. Frank Collett of Essie, KY passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center at the age of 87. Frank was born October 22, 1931 at Essie, KY. the son of the late, Hargis & Martha Howard Collett. He had a life-long resident of Leslie Co. with the exception of living in Chicago, Ill. for 8 years. By occupation he was a coal miner & factory worker. Frank was a member of the Bowen's Creek Baptist Church at Essie, KY. He enjoyed attending Church, watching ballgames, UK & Cincinnati Reds, listening to gospel music & spending time with his family.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, loving & devoted wife, Meredith Morgan Collett, brothers, Bentley, Lloyd & Ray Collett & sisters, Ruth Simpson & Loshia Collett. He leaves the following relatives surviving, 3 beloved sons, Ricky Collett of Corbin, KY., Larry Collett of Essie, KY. & Gary Collett of Essie, KY., 5 beloved daughters, Donna Hoskins & husband, Lee of Essie, KY., Della Adams & husband, Allen Reed of Hyden, KY., Judy Wynn & husband, Myerl of Essie, KY., Tina Collett of Essie, KY. & Edith Collett of London, KY., 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren & 15 great great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, March 13, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Bowen's Creek United Baptist Church at Essie, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Carl Brown & Rev. James Bowling, Jr.

Interment: Collett Family Cemetery, Essie, KY.

Pallbearers: Keith Collett, Kevin Collett, Tony Hoskins, Andrew Collett, Mike Adams, Tyler Wynn, Justin Collett, Daniel Collett & Cory Hacker

Visitation: Tuesday, March 12, 2019 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Church with a Service @ 7:00 P.M.
