Earl Anthony 'Bubby' Roberts

June 30, 1954 — May 26, 2026

Hyden, Kentucky

Earl Anthony "Bubby" Roberts, a beloved log truck driver known for his friendly and outgoing nature, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his residence in Stinnett, Kentucky. He was 71 years of age. Born on June 30, 1954, in Stinnett, Kentucky, Earl lived a life deeply rooted in family, friendship, and the simple joys that defined his character.

Throughout his years, Earl was cherished not only for his dedication to his profession but more importantly for his loving spirit and warm presence. He found great pleasure in going to the lake, riding around, driving, and especially spending quality time with his family and friends. These interests were a true reflection of his genuine love for life and the people in it.

Earl's proudest accomplishments were the roles he embraced most fully—being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Collett Roberts, who stood by his side through the years with steadfast love and support. His children: son; Jody Roberts (Aime) and daughter; Buffy Guier (Kevin), carry on his legacy alongside his siblings, brothers Donnie Roberts (Linda) and Scottie Roberts, and sister Phyllis Morgan (Jerry). Earl’s family circle extended with warmth and pride to his grandchildren Carlee Roberts (Cody), Tommy Guier, Makenzie Guier, Ally Whitehead, Austin Whitehead, Harleigh Jones, Jerred Collett, and Grayson Sizemore. The joy he found in family was further enriched by his great-grandchildren Aubree Whitehead, Phoenix Whitehead, Lani Guier, and Lucas Guier, whose lives he touched deeply.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Roberts and Rowena Baker Roberts, his sister Jenny Turner, and his brother Gary Roberts. Their memories remained an integral part of the foundation on which Earl built his life.

Earl Anthony "Bubby" Roberts will be remembered as a man whose infectious friendliness and outgoing spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His devotion to family and community was evident in every part of his life, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey. May he rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love he so freely gave.
