Mrs. Dorothy Gayle Pace Dixon, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Well's Hospice Center, Hazard, KY. She was 84 years old. Gayle was born December 24, 1935 at Wendover, KY., the daughter of the late, Walter Pace & Pauline Brashear Pace. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation Gayle was a former teacher & a retired social worker for the Kentucky State Dept. She was a member of the Camp Creek Church of Christ & Hurts Creek Church of Christ. Gayle enoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren & watching the Cincinnati Reds.

Gayle was preceded in death by her beloved parents, loving & devoted husband, Harold Dixon & daughter-in-law, Pauline. She leaves the following relatives surviving; 2 beloved sons, Charles Dixon & Gloria, Hyden, KY. & Randy Dixon & Teresa, Hyden, KY., 1 brother, Harold Pace & Ruth, Georgia, 1 sister, Corine Pace Wells, Hyden, KY., 4 treasured grandchildren & 8 treasured great grandchildren. Also a host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Doug Caldwell

Interment: Dixon Family Cemetery, (Dixon Branch), Wooton, KY.

Pallbearers: Scott Dixon, D.J. Grigsby, Greg Wells, Tim Wells, Bill Wells, Scott Whitaker & Johnny Lewis

Visitation: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
