Diana Lynn Harris Barger, born on May 3, 1956, in Hyden, Kentucky, departed this life peacefully at her residence in Oneida, Kentucky, on June 25 2025. was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, whose spirit touched all who knew her.
Lynn dedicated many years of her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Laurel Creek Nursing Home, where her compassion and care made a lasting impact on her patients and their families. In her later years, she worked in various retail stores, further illustrating her dedication to service and community.
A devoted member of Bear Branch Baptist Church for many years, Lynn had an unwavering passion for her faith. She took great pride in ensuring the church was always kept clean and welcoming, reflecting her commitment to her community and her love for God.
Lynn had a profound appreciation for nature, particularly flowers. She enjoyed cultivating several varieties, including wildflowers, finding joy and solace in her gardening endeavors. Her love for her family was boundless, providing support, guidance, and wisdom across all generations. She was always there, ready with a listening ear or a helping hand, reinforcing the bonds that united her family.
Her legacy of love and strength is carried on by her husband, Ronnie Barger; her son, Tommy Hensley; bonus son, Charlie Brewer; bonus daughters, Amanda Crowder and Melissa Casey; sister-in-law, Ivaleen Miller; and a multitude of grandchildren, including Cody Bowling (Ariana), Zac (Laken) Hensley, Brittany Holland (Austin), and Megan Sullivan. Lynn also cherished her great-grandchildren, Anakin Bowling, Rowan Bowling, Cameron Holland, Carly Holland, and Adaline Sullivan. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Kim Barger (Rachel), her sister, Robin Sizemore (Willie), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom hold her close in their hearts.
Lynn is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rev. Tommy Harris and Rosemary Taylor Harris; her mother-in-law, Bessie Feltner; her daughter, Jolene Hensley; her sisters, Debra Hensley and Alice Sizemore; her brother-in-law, Carson Sizemore; and an infant brother, Tommy Harris, Jr. She is also reunited in memory with her special cousins, Charles "Hoss" Harris and Benny Ray Harris.
Diana Lynn Harris Barger will be remembered for her kindness, her nurturing spirit, and the lasting impressions she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed but remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
