Dexter Asher

Mr. Dexter Asher born February 11, 1961 in Hyden, KY the son of Amos Asher and Evon Bailey Asher. He passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. He was 60 years old. He had been a resident of Somerset for the past 5 years previously living in Leslie County. By occupation Dexter was employed at the Hyden Health and Rehab Center for several years. He worked as a conservation officer and spent 25 years working in security. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of God. Dexter enjoyed being with his family, fishing, hunting and his work. He was a wonderful husband and father.

Dexter is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jackson and Bertha Asher and maternal grandparents, Pearl and Martha Bailey and a loving mother-in-law, Melissa Baker. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted wife, Margaret Baker Asher, Somerset, KY, cherished daughter, Makayla Asher, Somerset, KY, cherished son, Jordan Asher, Somerset, KY, loving parents, Amos and Evon Asher, Mozelle, KY, brother, Zandall Asher and wife, Marion, Winchester, KY, sister, Frieda Asher, Mozelle, KY, loving father-in-law, Robert Wayne Baker, Burksville, KY and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral: Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY

Ministers: Rev. Geoffery Roberts and Rev. Micky Roberts

Interment: Baker Family Cemetery, Stinnett, KY

Visitation: Monday, Feb. 7th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
