Deanna Morgan

August 7, 1974 — April 20, 2020

Deanna Gail Morgan born August 7, 1974 in Hyden, KY., the daughter of Kathy Jean Woods Morgan Trout & the late Kenneth Morgan. She passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 45. A graduate of culinary school, Deanna worked in restaurants and enjoyed cooking and creating meals at home for her family.

Deanna’s family and friends will remember her as witty, vivacious and beautiful. Her smile was stunning and her laugh was infectious -- Deanna would say the most outrageously funny things, and make you laugh when you least expected to. She had impeccable taste, and brought style to everything she did, from cooking to clothing to decorating, and confidence in her convictions; she wasn’t afraid to tell you that your highlights were too blonde or that those shoes definitely didn’t go with those pants! Anyone who knew Dee Bird, as her family called her, would say they have known few people as adventurous and fearless, clever and interesting.

Deanna was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Morgan. She is survived by her loving mother, Kathy Jean Morgan Trout & her husband, George of Lexington, KY;  beloved son, Gunnar Winburn of Louisville, KY., beloved daughter, Katie Mann of Louisville, KY., 1 brother, Kenneth Alan Morgan of Michigan & a host of aunts, uncles & cousins survive.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 Noon with the service starting at 1:00PM.  Rev. Chris Stanley will be officiating.
