Danny Ray Stidham, a cherished member of the community and a beloved family man, passed away on December 18, 2025, at his residence in Yeaddiss, Kentucky. He was 67 years old. He was born on March 11, 1958, in Hyden, Kentucky, to Felix Stidham and Mary Smallwood Stidham, who preceded him in death.
Danny dedicated a significant part of his life to his career as a coal miner, working diligently in the industry before retiring. He was a hardworking and dedicated individual whose contributions to his field will be remembered fondly.
In his personal life, Danny had a profound passion for gardening, finding joy and solace in nurturing plants and watching them flourish. His ability to cultivate beauty from the earth mirrored his nurturing spirit and deep appreciation for nature.
Danny is survived by his son, Timothy Callahan (Cassandra), along with his brothers, Robert Stidham (Christine), Keith Stidham (Sue) and Ted Stidham (Geneva). He took immense pride in his grandchildren, Courtney Bennefeld (Tom), Natalie Callahan, Timothy Brevin Callahan (Sami), and Cameron Callahan. The joy of his life was amplified by his great-grandchildren, Lyle Gray and Kylo Sage Callahan.
In addition to his immediate family, Danny had a special bond with his niece, Melissa Morgan, and his special nephew, Andrew Stidham, as well as a special great-niece, Brooklyn Morgan. He is also remembered by a host of other nieces and nephews who will carry on his legacy.
As we remember Danny Ray Stidham, we celebrate his life, his work, and the indelible mark he has left on all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
