Dane Alan Begley, born on August 29,1962, in Hyden, Kentucky, departed this life on September 16, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was 62 years old. He lived a life filled with hard work, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Dane's career spanned several important roles; he worked as a coal miner, which showcased his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his loved ones. Later, he took on the responsibilities of a truck driver for Hazard Express and lent his talents to Kemper Furniture. His diverse roles reflect not only his versatility but also his determination to contribute positively to his community and support his family.
Beyond his professional life, Dane had a wealth of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He found pleasure in listening to the radio, where music likely offered him comfort and reprieve. A skilled mechanic, he approached mechanical challenges with skill and enthusiasm, taking pride in his ability to fix and improve. Dane also cherished the beauty of the outdoors, often engaging in activities such as cutting wood, which provided both a sense of achievement and connection to nature. Most importantly, he treasured the time spent with his family, an aspect of his life that was central to who he was.
Dane is survived by two beloved sons, Bruce Begley and Charles Bradley, and one cherished daughter, Andrea Keathley & her partner, Michael, companion & special friend, Mary Bradley. He leaves behind three sisters, Marsha Estridge and Eddie, Vicki Boggs and James, and Cindy Williams and Dale, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Adding to the legacy of love he created, he is also survived by three treasured grandchildren, Devon Alan Begley, Dylan Lee Begley, and Jensen Andrew Begley, who brought him immense joy and pride. He was also survived by a host of other relatives & friends.
Dane was preceded in death by his beloved parents, David and Jean Roark Begley, and his sister, Ella Ruth Begley. The absence of his presence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, yet his spirit and the memories created will surely endure in the lives he touched.
As we remember Dane, we celebrate a life characterized by hard work, deep familial love, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. His legacy will continue through the stories shared by his family and friends, as they honor the values and love he instilled in them.
