Cornelius Morgan

July 23, 1932 — February 28, 2022

Mr. Cornelius Morgan was born on July 23, 1932 and departed this life on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was 89 years of age at the time of his passing. Cornelius was born at Stinnett, KY the son of the late Hughie Morgan and the late Winnie Collett Morgan. By occupation, Cornelius was a retired truck driver, logger and a coal mine operator. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Rockhouse Baptist Church. Cornelius was a great inspiration to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County.

Mr. Cornelius Morgan was preceded in death by his parents: Hughie and Winnie; four brothers: Kenneth Merle, Delmar, Daniel,  Roy Morgan and one great grandson, Timothy Darrell Zane Caldwell.

He leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving and devoted wife, Eileen Hacker Morgan of Wendover, KY; one sister, Fern Morgan Baker and Melvin of West Carrolton, OH; three sons: Garry Clay Morgan and Brenda of Stinnett, KY, Stephen Morgan and Gwendolyn of Stinnett, KY and Christopher Morgan and Judy of Wendover, KY; one daughter, Lena Joan Napier and Ronnie of Manchester, KY.  He is also survived by three grandsons: Christopher Neil Morgan and Patricia, Jason Darrell Napier and Stephen Nicholas Napier; four granddaughters: Jeannie Morgan Woody and Ed, Raegan Napier Caldwell and Timmy, Anastasia Morgan Combs and Chris and Stephanie Morgan Thomas and Jeremy. Cornelius is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

All services for Cornelius Morgan will be private. Immediate family only.
