Claudette Morgan

Claudette Morgan of Essie, KY. passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 81. Claudette was born January 19, 1938 at Essie, KY., the daughter of the late, Charlie Morgan & Fannie Jones Morgan. She had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Claudette had worked as a cook in the dietary dept. for the Mary Breckinridge Hospital & she also was former co-owner of Al's Discount. She was a member of the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY. Claudette enjoyed sewing, singing, flower gardening & especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Claudette was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charlie & Fannie Morgan, her loving & devoted husband, Junior Ray Morgan, 5 brothers, John D., Al, Harold, Billy Don & Edward Morgan & 1 sister, Bernice Morgan Sizemore. She leaves the following relatives surviving, 2 beloved sons, Larry Junior Morgan & wife, Linda of Essie, KY. & Shon Delayne Morgan & wife, Rebecca of Cincinnati, OH., 1 beloved daughter, Rita Gail Smith & husband, Claude Dwayne of Essie, KY., 2 brothers, Ronald Morgan & wife, Reva of Corbin, KY. & Bearl Morgan & wife, Shirley of Essie, KY., 2 sisters, Nannie Couch & husband, Charles of Essie, KY. & Wanda Lee Morgan Mosley & husband, Arthur of Essie, KY., 6 treasured grandchildren, Dena Lynette Bowling & husband, William Andrew "Hub", Brian Keith Smith & wife, Crystal, Abigail Morgan, Zachary Morgan, Samuel Morgan &  Devin Jackson & 2 treasured great grandsons, William Chandler Dwayne Bowling & Grant Isaiah Smith. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Saturday, April 27, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY.

Ministers: Rev. John Pugh & Rev. Patrick Morgan

Interment: Albert Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY.

Pallbearers: Rod Couch, Harold Dean Morgan, Tim North, Steven Ray Morgan, Brian Feltner, Danny Clark & Christopher Roberts

Visitation: Friday, April 26, 2019 @ 7:00 P.M. at the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church with services @ 7:00 P.M.
