Her warmth and nurturing spirit touched all those around her, making her a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends.
As a dedicated homemaker, Christine found joy and fulfillment in caring for her loved ones. She had a special talent for cooking and crafting delightful meals, bringing her family together around the table, where stories were shared and memories were made. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of love that will forever resonate in their hearts.
Christine’s hobbies reflected her vibrant personality. She took great pleasure in crocheting, a skill that allowed her to create beautiful pieces that her loved ones will treasure. Her love for laughter was evident in her fondness for cartoons, especially the timeless antics of Tom & Jerry. Additionally, she found solace in the tales of the West and adored watching "Little House on the Prairie," which resonated with her values of family and community.
Her pride in her family extended beyond her immediate household. Christine was a devoted member of the Lower Bowens Creek United Methodist Church, where she nurtured her faith and connected with her community throughout her life. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County, where she formed lasting bonds and contributed to the area she loved so dearly.
Christine is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Alfred Roark, whom she married on January 4, 1986. Together, they built a life filled with love and support. She leaves behind her devoted son, Scottie Smith and Amanda of Hyden, KY, and her loving daughters, Patsy Baxter and Robert of Essie, KY, and Elaine Oliver and Gary of Morristown, TN. She cherished her four grandchildren, Tasha Collins and John, Beth Lewis & Josh, Ethan Smith, and Jaden Brock and Kaity, each of whom brought her boundless joy. Additionally, Christine is survived by her dear brother, Kenneth Caldwell and Fern of Essie, KY, and her sister, Carol Roark and Donald of Warbranch, KY. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Christine’s passing is mourned deeply, not only by her family but also by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
