Mr. Charlie  Washburn, born June 6, 1946 departed this life on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence in Hyden, Ky.  He was 72 years old.  Charlie was born in Hyden, Ky., the son of the late John Henry Washburn & Vina Morgan Washburn.  Charlie was self-employed in the family furniture store business.  He was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. & enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, story telling & spending time with his family.  Mr. Charlie Washburn was preceded in death by his parents & one brother, Clayton Washburn.  Mr. Charlie Washburn leaves the following relatives surviving: sons, Joey Collett & wife, Andrea of Hazard, Ky., twin sons, Jamie Washburn of Stinnett, Ky., Jeffery Allen Washburn of Stinnett, Ky., Charlie Washburn & wife, Jamie of Fredericksburg, Indiana, Ritchie Tolman Washburn of Pekin, Indiana, daughters; Charlene Washburn of London, Ky., Renee Whitehead & Freddie Collett of Essie, Ky., Michelle Napier of Stinnett, Ky., & Angela N. Washburn of Pekin, Indiana, brother; Tolman Washburn & wife, Margie of Covington, Ky., sisters; Jean Dixon & husband Nesby of Hamilton, Ohio, Mary Rose Morgan of Salem, Indiana, Evelyn Francis of Breathitt County, Ky., Breina Cwick of Mozelle, Ky., special uncle, Paul Washburn of Hyden, Ky., 16 treasured grandchildren & a host of other relatives and friends.

TIME AND PLACE OF FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m. - Saturday- January 5, 2019 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky.

OFFICIATING MINISTERS: Rev. Logan Roberts, Rev. Robert Lee Hacker, Rev. Eugene Roberts & Rev. James Bowling, Jr.

TIME AND PLACE OF VISITATION: 12 Noon -until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. - Saturday - January 5, 2019 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Morgan Cemetery (Saltwell) Hoskinston, Ky.

The sons will serve as pallbearers.
