Carolyn Marie Collins Moller, an esteemed Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and cherished member of her community, passed away on November 20, 2025, at Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 73 years old. She was born on January 19, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and spent her life embodying compassion, dedication, and love for her family and those around her.
A devoted member of the Straight Way Church of God in Hyden, Kentucky, Carolyn found great joy and purpose in her faith. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to caring for others, both in her professional career and in her personal relationships. Her career as an LPN allowed her to touch many lives, providing not only medical care but also comfort and reassurance to her patients.
Carolyn was deeply passionate about flower gardening, where she found solace and beauty in nurturing plants to bloom. She had a knack for decorating, creating warm and inviting spaces that brought joy to family gatherings. Cooking was another of her favorite pastimes, and she delighted in preparing meals that brought loved ones together around the table. Carolyn’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her hobbies; she was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews, showering them with love and support.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved mother, Myrtle Wooton Collins; her two brothers, Jackson Collins and Carlo Collins; her granddaughter, Savannah; her special niece and caregiver, Heather Collins; her special niece, Kim Gay; special niece, Rae Deusenberry Jones; her special great niece, Marlee Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to her with deep affection.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elisha Collins; her husband, Bruce Moller; her paternal grandparents, Martha Jane Collins and Carlo Collins; her maternal grandparents, Roush and Jackson Wooton; her sisters, Helen Collins Jones and Joyce Collins Woodall; her brother, John Henry Wilder; and her sisters-in-law, Sandra Kay Collins and Ruthie Collins.
Carolyn Marie Collins Moller will be remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering strength, and her talent for bringing people together. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
