Caleb Napier, a beloved member of his community and a dedicated man, passed away on August 15, 2024 in his residence in Somerset, Kentucky. Born on April 7, 1940, in Warbranch, Kentucky, Caleb lived a life full of hard work, love, and cherished moments with his family.
As a retired coal miner, Caleb devoted much of his career to supporting his family and contributing to his community. He also worked as a logger and truck driver, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic that earned him the respect of many. His life was characterized not only by his various professions but also by his deep passion for nature and the outdoors. Caleb found joy in hunting, fishing, and gardening, activities that brought him closer to the world around him and provided him with opportunities to share stories and laughter with his loved ones.
Caleb is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Williams Napier of Somerset, KY. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and companionship. He is also survived by one cherished son, Caleb Junior Napier (Lesa Gail) of Somerset, KY, and one cherished daughter, Teresa Napier Carlton (David E.) of Somerset, KY. Caleb's legacy continues through his family, including his two treasured grandchildren, Rachael Carlton and Michael Carlton, as well as his four treasured great-grandchildren, Avery Blevins, Fisher Blevins, Mason Carlton, and Lainey Carlton. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Daryl Napier (Nancy) of East Bernstadt, KY, and two sisters, Eva Wilson of Warbranch, KY, and Mollie North of Mozelle, KY. A host of other relatives and friends also survive him, all of whom will remember Caleb for his warmth and kindness.
Caleb is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Floyd Napier and Sillar Howard Napier, as well as his cherished daughter, Priscilla Napier. He was also preceded in death by siblings Junior Napier and Ruby Muncy. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
In this time of mourning, the family invites all who knew Caleb to celebrate his life. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering spirit, the stories he shared, and the love he freely gave to his family and friends.
