Billy Richard Morgan

Mr. Billy Richard Morgan, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, KY. He was 67 years old. Billy was born October 3, 1953 in Hyden, KY., the son of the late, Dave Morgan & Carolyn Roark Morgan. Billy had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he had worked as a heavy equipment operator in strip mining & also a logger. Billy enjoyed fishing, walking timber, coin & antique collecting & gardening. His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his children & grandchildren.

Billy Richard was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dave & Carolyn Morgan, 2 sisters, Alma Morgan Roberts & Mary Morgan & 1 brother, Charles Morgan. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Vanessa Woods Morgan, Hyden, KY., 3 beloved daughters, Zuba Lynn Holland & Billy, Bear Branch, KY., Billie Leigh Morgan Banks & Nathan, Hyden, KY. & Sidney Laine Morgan & Will McGinty, Hyden, KY., twin brothers, Freddie Morgan & Diane, Oneida, KY. & Eddie Morgan & Daisy, Hyden, KY., 1 sister, Gracie Morgan Sparks & Johnny, Hyden, KY., 5 treasured grandchildren, Natalie, Parker, Kyle, Austin & Kayla & a host of treasured great-grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive. 

Funeral: Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, Hyden, KY.

Ministers: Rev. Ted Couch & Rev. Andrew Farmer

Interment: Morgan Family Cemetery, (Laurel Fork Lane), Hyden, KY.

Pallbearers: George Begley, Jimmy Begley, Edmond Morgan, Rick Boggs, Shawn Morgan, Shane Morgan, John Sparks & Dylan Jones

Visitation: Friday, April 2, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church
