Billy Joe Freeman

Billy Joe Freeman passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY., at the age of 69. Billy Joe was born August 10, 1949 in Versailles, KY., the son of the late, Joseph Freeman & Lucille Black Freeman Semple. He had been a resident of Lexington for the past 42 years, previously living in Versailles, KY. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He enjoyed watching westerns, collecting knives & coins & spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bobby Freeman(twin brother) & George Hedges & 2 sisters, Judy M. Bender & Patsy Portwood. He leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted wife, Mildred Lewis Freeman of Lexington, KY., 1 son, Timothy R. Freeman of Lexington, KY., 1 daughter, Cindy Freeman of Lexington, KY., 1 brother, Hubert R. McGaughey of Lexington, KY. & 3 treasured grandchildren, Jace Stone, Jaden Stone & Kaleah Freeman. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Wednesday, April 24, 2019 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Rev. Charles Collins

Interment: Juder Lewis Family Cemetery, Thousandsticks, KY.

Visitation: Wednesday, April 24, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
