Betty Lou Woods Scott

Mrs. Betty Lou Woods Scott, age 82 passed away Sunday July 9, 2023. Betty was born August 20, 1942 in Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late, Virgil Woods & the late, Flora Begley Woods. Betty had been a resident of East Bernstadt, Kentucky for the past 35 years. By occupation Betty had worked in Dry cleaning services. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and flower gardening.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, cherished son, Wesley Sprecher, special brothers, Franklin, Donald & Arnold Woods and special sister, Eva Faye Gross. She leaves the following relatives surviving; loving & devoted husband, James E. Scott, East Bernstadt, KY, cherished son, Travis Land & Sandy, Lily, KY, cherished daughters, Donna Osborne, East Bernstadt, KY, Kelly Williams & Paul, Hyden, KY and Deborah Mayfield & Michael, OH, special brother, Ricky Woods, Hazard, KY, treasured grandchildren, Uriia, Misty Dawn, Mystery, Alysa, Suede, Elizabeth and Chance and treasured great grandchildren, Kori, Charly, Rilelyn., & Arabella. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister: Jerry Rice

Interment: Woods Family Cemetery, Hyden, KY

Pallbearers: Delbert Woods, Larry Begley, Suede Allen, Lucas Edwards & Blake Kennedy
