Mrs. Betty Jean Caldwell Maggard Masters was born April 17, 1941 at Beverly, KY., the daughter of the late, Samuel Caldwell & Betty Saylor Caldwell. She passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was 80 years of age. Betty had been a resident of East Bernstadt, KY. since 1987. By occupation she had worked as a cashier. Betty an avid animal lover & enjoyed singing & gospel music. Betty's greatest love and enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her loving & devoted first husband & the father of her children, Bige Lewis Maggard, her loving & devoted second husband, Rev. Clayton Masters, infant brother, Robert Ray Caldwell, her siblings, Cordelia Short, Mary Caldwell, Ida Caldwell, Lena Mae Short, Zack Caldwell, David Caldwell, Richard Caldwell, John D. Caldwell and Eva Dene Maggard & a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Simpson Maggard. She leaves the following relatives surviving; three cherished sons, Tinsley David Maggard & Stacy, Hyden, KY, Timothy Dale Maggard & Rhonda, East Bernstadt, KY and James Jeffery Maggard & Tina, Richmond, KY, one brother, Gareth Ray Caldwell & Chaney, one sister, Bernice Caldwell, Stinnett, KY, nine treasured grandchildren, Christopher Bige Maggard & Labriska, Destiny Darnell Maggard & Chris, Kayla Renee Maggard & Fiance' Jason, Kendra Nicole Maggard, Ceara Maggard & Jordan, James Cory Maggard, Alex Huff, Micah David Maggard and Cameron Kyle Maggard & nine treasured great grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Taylen, Bryson, Carson, Liam, Carter, Caleigha and Leara. Also a host of treasured nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
NOTICE: Due to the illness of an immediate family member, Betty's son, Tinsley, the family request that all attending the visitation and funeral service must wear a mask!
Funeral: Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
Ministers: Rev. Jack Short, Rev. James Cory Maggard and Rev. Jamie Brunk
Interment: Maggard Family Cemetery, Hyden, KY.
Visitation: Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel
