Berlin Ward Morgan

Mr. Berlin Ward  Morgan of Essie, Ky., born April 25, 1943 departed this life  Friday, August 2, 2019 at his residence at the age 76.  Berlin was born at Essie, Ky., the son of the late Lee Morgan & Eura Morgan.  Berlin was a graduate of Leslie Co. High School & Cumberland College.  He had a very distinguished career in education serving as a mathematics teacher. Berlin began his career teaching at a one room school in Trace Branch, he then taught at Short Creek & retired at Stinnett Elementary.  Berlin was a very active and devoted member of the Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church, Essie, Ky.,  He served on the church board and sang in church & also played the bass. Berlin enjoyed attending church, gardening, reading Jesse Stuart, and working with his son, Patrick in his guttering business.  He enjoyed maintaining & repairing the guttering equipment. Berlin enjoyed having conversation with people & was blessed as an orator and listener.  Berlin's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Berlin Ward Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Junior Ray, two sisters; Wanda Smith & Ida Brock, daughter-in-law; Tonda Morgan.  Mr. Berlin Ward Morgan leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife; Rose Evelyn Smith Morgan of Essie, Ky., three beloved sons;  Richard Berlin Morgan and wife, Kim of Essie, Ky., Patrick Keith Morgan & wife, Teresa of Essie, Ky., Dwight David Morgan of Essie, Ky., one beloved daughter; Angela Hubbard & husband, Tommy of Asher, Ky., one cherished sister; Wilma Roberts of Essie, Ky., ten treasured grandchildren; Hannah Morgan & husband, David, Jacob Dwight Morgan, Makayla Morgan & husband, Jacob David, Jalon Patrick Morgan & wife, Katie, Makenna Morgan, Haley Morgan, Savannah Morgan, John Morgan, Holly Morgan,  Addie Morgan & a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also the family would like to say a "Special Thank You" to Berlin's caregivers, Trish, Totty, Glenda & Violet.

TIME AND PLACE OF SERVICE: 1:00 P.M. - Wednesday - August 7, 2019 at the Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church - Essie, Ky

PLACE OF INTERMENT: Lee Morgan Cemetery, Essie, Ky.
