Benny Ray Harris

Mr. Benny Ray Harris was born October 9, 1958 in Hyden, Kentucky. Benny Ray was the son of the late, William Harris & Bessie Sawyers Harris. Benny Ray passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at his residence. He was 64 years old. Benny Ray was a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation Benny Ray was a certified electrician having worked in coal mining. He was a member of the Panco Community Church at Oneida, Kentucky. Benny Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, working on his cars and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Benny Ray was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Harris & Bessie Sawyer Harris, one treasured grandson, Spencer, one brother, David Wayne Harris and mother-in-law & father-in-law, Noel & Ira Rice. He leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving & devoted wife, Betty Rice Harris, Sizerock, KY, two cherished sons, Benny Ray Harris II, Sizerock, KY and Benson Tate Harris & Savana, Sizerock, KY, three brothers, William Harris, Jr. & Patricia, Middlesboro, KY, Roger Harris & Glenda, Bear Branch, KY and Charles Harris & Mary Gail, Sizerock, KY, three sisters, Brenda Lawson & Tony, Middlesboro, KY, Norma Harris, Hyden, KY. and Marie Woods, Sizerock, KY, and three treasured grandsons, Ryan Harris, Dylan Harris and Cole Harris. Also a host of special nieces, nephews & other relatives & friends survive.

Services:

Funeral: Friday, September 29, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Panco Community Church, Oneida, KY.

Ministers: Jerry Rice & Bryant Harris

Interment: Harris Family Cemetery, Sizerock, KY.

Pallbearers: Rylan Harris, Tate Harris, Russell Lawson, Byron Woods & Shiloh Campbell

Visitation: Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. at the Church
