Barbara Rose Colwell born November 29, 1941 departed this life on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 81-years old. Barbara was born in Leslie County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Beecher Baker and the late Mildred Campbell Baker. Other than her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by Three Brothers and Two Sisters and was a Member of the Big Willard and Grassy Church of Christ. 

Barbara Rose Colwell leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: Husband of 28-years, Allen Colwell of Hazard; Son, Jack Colwell & Marie of Big Creek; Daughter, Carol Hatton & Jimmy of Lower Second Creek; Two Brothers, Marvin Baker & Shirley of Hyden, KY, Lowell Baker of Busy; Sister, Doshia Baker of DeMossville, KY; Grandchildren, William Feltner, Jack Williams Colwell, Jr., Ashley Lynn Wolbert, Bradley Colwell, and Cory Colwell; Special Friend, Sharon Green. A host of Great-Grandchildren and other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Barbara Rose Colwell will be conducted on Monday July 31, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Everett Spencer officiating. The Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery located at Busy, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 till 2:00 P.M.
