Audrey Mae Howard Caudill

Audrey Mae Howard Caudill passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 91 years old. Audrey was born August 29, 1935 in Leslie County Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late, Bert and Jetty Baker Howard. Audrey had lived most of her life in Leslie County with the exception of a few years in Kenansville Florida. By occupation Audrey was a Post Mistress in Leslie County and was Manager for the Dollar General Store in Hyden. She was a member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God. Her hobbies include sewing, reading, fishing and shopping for antiques. 

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Jetty Baker Howard, husband, Dale Caudill, son, Stephen Bert Caudill, son-in-law, Eugene (Dudley) Hacker, grandson, Stephen Michael Griffie, great-great grandson, Greyson Cole Whitehead, siblings, Lona Bea Napier and Harold Howard. She leaves the following relatives surviving; daughters, Evelyn Caudill, Phyllis (Jack) Griffie and Jetty Hacker, daughter-in-law, Gail Caudill, grandchildren, Shona (Jamie) Harper, Chris (Kim) Gross, Amber (Paul) Whitehead, Jennfer (Earl) Whitaker, Marty Justin (Terri) Caudill, Stephen Bert Jr. (Breanna) Caudill, Dale (Ashley) Caudill, Jerry (Jessica) Caudill, Stephanie (Michael) Dawson, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, siblings, Charles (Barbara) Howard, Geneva Blanton, Reva (Ronnie) Morgan, Mary Helen Brock, Roberta Scheidt and Christine Sizemore.

Funeral: Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
