Mrs. Armilda Smith was born, April 12, 1952 in Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late, Johnny Hoskins and Mossie Collett Hoskins. Armilda passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at her residence. Armilda was 71 years old. Armilda was a life long resident of Leslie & Clay County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Upper Bowens Creek United Baptist Church at Essie, KY. Armilda enjoyed quilting, gardening, visiting with friends & especially loved spending time with her family.

Armilda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Johnny & Mossie Collett Hoskins, cherished son, Robert Ray "Bobby" Nolan, treasured grandson, Easton, brothers, Ervin, Robert & Lee Hoskins and sisters, Hannah Mae Asher, Eunice Hoskins & Grace Gross. She leaves the following relatives surviving; cherished sons, Sylvester Nolan & Tracy, Big Creek, KY, Cleveland Nolan & Misty, Big Creek, KY. and Johnny Ray Smith & Kara, London, KY, cherished step-sons, Daniel Lee Smith & Mandy, Rogersville, TN., Joshua Smith, McClean, Texas and George Anthony Smith & Jessica, Pineville, KY, cherished step-daughter, Donna Allen & Billy, Tazewell, TN, sister, Rose Brock, Bledsoe, KY, treasured grandchildren, Chelsea Nolan Cornelius, Kelly Lynn Nolan Couch, Samantha Nolan, Sydney Nolan, Issac Christian "Bobby" Nolan, Kadence Nolan, Whitney Elam, Eli Cureton, Gavin Ray Smith and Lacey Hobbs, 3 treasured great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Services:

Funeral: Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Upper Bowens Creek Baptist Church, Essie, KY.

Minister: Rev. Golden Smith, Jr.

Reading the Obit: Kenny Smith

Interment: Collett Family Cemetery, Essie, KY.

Visitation: Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. with additional services at the Church at 7:00 P.M.
