Alice Morgan

August 8, 1943 — June 12, 2019

Alice Morgan passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Hyden Health and Rehab at the age of 75.  Alice was born August 8, 1943 in Wendover KY to Viola but was raised from the time she was an infant by her beloved grandparents, Alice and Oscar Morgan, who considered her one of their own.  She is preceded in death by her mother “Big Alice” and father Oscar Morgan, her former husband, Lance Morgan, her brothers Toby, Delmar, Willie, and Ed, and her sisters Dolphie and Dorothy.  Alice is survived by her beloved daughter Lisa Morgan of Lexington KY, her sister Carolyn Morgan and brother Kenneth Morgan, both of Connersville IN, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alice was a life-long resident of Leslie County except for the few years that she and Lance lived in Dayton.  She was a long-term employee of both FNS and the phone company, working at several FNS locations including Wendover, the Old Hospital, and Mary Breckinridge Hospital.  After FNS, Alice worked at the Leslie County Telephone Company, D&H Printing in Dayton OH, and retired from TDS Telecom. 

Special appreciation to the caring staff at Hyden Health and Rehab, Brian Overbee, wonderful friends Judy Muncy, Agnes Melton, Audrey Maggard, Johnny and Flo Sizemore, cousin Edna Lewis, and very special nieces Mary Frances Meade, Rhonda Ash, Tammy Brown, and Theresa Carroll.

Funeral: Saturday, June 15, 2019 @ 1:00 P.M. at the  Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Minister:  Brian Overbee

Interment:  Singleton Cemetery in Wendover KY.

Visitation: Saturday, June 15, 2019 @ 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at the Funeral Home Chapel.
