The Obituary of Mrs. Nellie Young Collins Officiating Ministers: Rev. Jessie Martin & Rev. Ted Couch Mrs. Nellie Young Collins born July 24, 1927 departed this life on September 29, 2008 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Brenda Gay, at Sizerock, Ky. She was 81 years, 2 months, & 5 days old. Nellie was born in Perry Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Young & Rachel Gibson. Nellie was a member of the Sizerock Baptist Church & enjoyed quilting as a hobby. Nellie was a life-long resident of Leslie County residing at 15 Statue Lane, Sizerock, Ky., at the time of her death. Mrs. Nellie Young Collins was preceded in death by her parents: John Young & Rachel Gibson Young, her husband, Charlie Collins, one son: Clyde Collins, and one grandson: Bobby Wayne Rice. Mrs. Nellie Young Collins leaves the following relatives surviving: two sons: Charles Collins and wife, Linda, Oneida, Ky., Clarence Collins and wife, Stephanie, of Manchester, Ky.,eleven daughters: Helen Gay and husband, Jack, of Sizerock, Ky., Geneva Isom,& husband, Rollo, of Charlestown, Indiana, Wilma Rice and husband, Lawrence, of Oneida, Ky., Pauline Hensley of Oneida, Ky., Mary Smith and husband, Terry, of Harlan, Ky., Brenda Gay and husband, Ronnie, of Sizerock, Ky., Rachel Collins of Oneida, Ky., Carol Hensley and husband, Terry of Ohio, Vicky Butler and husband, Richard, of Oneida, Ky., Pam Brock & husband, Matthew, of Leslie Co., Ky., Rose Lee Couch and husband, Kenneth, of Dayton, Ohio, 24 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and a host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral service for Mrs. Nellie Young Collins will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. - Thursday- October 2, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky., with Rev. Jesse Martin & Rev. Ted Couch officiating. The interment will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery, Oneida, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
