The Obituary of Mr. Edward Roberts Officiating Minister: Rev. James Bowling, Jr. Mr. Edward Roberts born on October 1, 1925 departed this life on March 3, 2008 at the Williamsburg Nursing Home, Williamsburg, KY. He was 82 years, 5 months and 2 days old. He was born at Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late Jasper Roberts and the late Dallie Sizemore Roberts. By occupation Ed was a retired coal miner and construction worker. He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the hunting channel on T.V., he had been a resident of Williamsburg for the past 7 years, prior to which he was a resident of Hyden, Ky.. Ed was preceded in death by his parents: Jasper and Dallie Roberts; three brothers: Brown, Mark and Carl; four sisters: Mary Spears, Gussie Rohr, Zola Mosley and Jean Hill; One Grandchild: Duane Jody. He leaves surviving the following relatives: Son: James Roberts of Williamsburg, KY. Daughters: Sharon Stephens & James of Williamsburg, KY. Maxine Sutton & Jesse of Williamsburg, KY. Brothers: George Roberts & Virginia of Hyden, KY. Harold Roberts & Jean of London, KY. Herman Roberts & Sandra of Williamsburg, KY. Eleven Grandchildren: Paul Jody, Amiee Taylor, Andrew Sutton, Jesse Sutton, Jared Sutton, James Roberts, Jr., James Oscar Stephens, Cissy Morris, Stephanie Thompson, Stacy Frazier and Shanna Rayburn. Also survived by a host of Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Edward Roberts will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, Kentucky with the Rev. James Bowling, Jr. officiating. Burial will following in the Roberts Family Cemetery located at Dill Branch, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday- March 4, 2008 at the funeral home chapel.
