Carl Collett

Carl Collett, Jr. of Roark, KY. passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 78. Carl was born at Roark, KY. on April 20, 1939, the son of the late, Charlie Collett & the late, Laura Napier Collett. Carl had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. by occupation he was a retired logger. Carl was a member of the Bowens Creek United Methodist Church at Essie, KY. He enjoyed spending time with his family & grandchildren, hunting, bluegrass music, attending festivals & being involved in politics. Carl was commissioned as a Ky. Colonel.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wiley & Vernon & sisters, Nell Collett & Fern Hall. He leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted wife, Blanche B. Collett whom he married on June 8, 1959, 2 beloved sons, Carl Edward Collett & wife, Regina, Roark, KY. & Wiley Collett & wife, Becca, Helton, KY., beloved daughters, Carla Whitaker & husband, Tim, Hyden, KY. & Heather Fultz & husband Chad, Manchester, KY., brothers, Fred Collett & wife, Pauline, Roark, KY., Ernest Collett, Roark, KY. & Bobby Collett & wife, Linda, Dayton, OH., sisters, Della Napier, Roark, KY., Virgie Collett & husband, Elias,Roark, KY., Emily Collett & husband, Marcus, Roark, KY. & Mollie Roark & husband, Johnny, Roark, KY. & Donna Collett & husband, Donnie, Roark, KY., treasured grandchildren, Cynthia Collett, Ashley Whitehead & husband, Ricky, Tiffany Whitaker, Jacob Whitaker, Baylee Whitaker, Whitney Sizemore, Gracie Sizemore, Carly Fultz, Kaitlyn Fultz, Jason Fultz, Wiley Ray Collett & Krissa Collett & treasured great grandchildren, Madilyn Coleman, Adyson Whitehead & Alyson Whitehead. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
