Polly Hoskins

Mrs. Polly Young Hoskins passed peacefully in her sleep, early Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017 at the age of 88. Born June 12, 1929 at the Young family homestead in Owl's Nest, near Hyden, KY., she was fifth of 13 children. A devoted Mother & Grandmother, as well as an accomplished seamstress, she also enjoyed all types of crafts, woodworking, gardening & sewing. She was a strong, hard-working woman who loved as ferociously as she protected those whom she loved. 

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Dan & Temple (Collins) Young; her husband of 62 years, Shade; daughter, Barbara (Hoskins) Adams; brothers, Mannon, Henry, Bob, Burley & sisters, Bernice & Vestie. She is survived by her son, Doug Hoskins; daughters, Loretta Cathcart, Joy Hollon & Brenda Martin; brothers, Ed, Paul, Noah & David; sisters, Matilda & Vadis. She remains in the loving memory of her 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren & a host of other relatives & friends.
