Candace Gail Wilson of Helton, KY. was born on March 30, 1978 in Hyden, KY., the daughter of John R. Wilson & the late, Gail Long Wilson. She passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at her residence at the age of 39. Candace had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. with the exception of living in Morehead, KY. for a short period of time. By occupation Candace was a former elementary teacher at the Rowan Co. Christian School & a legal secretary. She was a member of the Upper Beech Fork United Methodist Church at Helton, KY. Candace was a avid fan of UK basketball & adored her 3 dachshunds.

Candace was preceded in death by her loving & devoted mother, maternal grandparents, Ted Long & Tressie Wood Long, paternal grandparents, Carl Wilson & Nell Howard Wilson & uncle, Donald Ted Long, one aunt: Judy Lay. She leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted father, John R. Wilson, Helton, KY., 1 brother, John Carl Wilson, Helton, KY., 2 sisters, Donna Cornett & Adrian, St. Louis, MO. & Debbie Howard & Terry Whitehead, Bledsoe, KY., 1 nephew, Robbie Cornett, 3 nieces, Tori Adams & Devin, Savannah Howes & Heath & Samantha Cornett, a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends survive.

Thursday, December 21, 2017 @ 4:00 P.M. at the Upper Beech Fork United Methodist Church, Helton, KY.
