Mr. Kay Bowling age 85, of Wooton, KY passed away on Wednesday- January 10, 2018 at his residence. Kay was born on September 24, 1932 in Perry Co., KY., the son of the late, Carl & Goldie Bailey Bowling. Kay had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a retired coal miner having worked 32 years for Whitaker Coal Co. & Blue Diamond Coal Co. Kay was a devoted member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church, Wooton, KY. Kay enjoyed playing baskeball with his family & friends. He was a true blue UK fan. He also enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, reading, doing projects with his brothers and spending time with his children & grandchildren.
Kay was preceded in death by his parents, infant grandson, Stephen Trent Bowling, sister, Faye Combs, brothers, Billy Joe, Doy, Coy & special twin brother, Jay & son-in-law, Russell Stacy.  He leaves the following relatives surviving, loving & devoted wife whom he married on April 28, 1956, Irene Sizemore Bowling, Wooton, KY., beloved son, Rodney Bowling & Mary, Avawam, KY., beloved daughters, Tanya Pratt & Scooter, Avawam, KY., Sonya Asher & Denton, Somerset, KY. & Renee Stacy, Wooton, KY., sister-in-laws, Mildred, Elizabeth & Margaret, special relative, Jack Hacker, 2 granddaughters, Christy & Kayla & 4 grandsons, Rodney Scott, Casey, Matthew & wife, Courtney & Tristan, 2 great grandchildren, Tyler & Addison & 1 great grandson due in April. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.

Monday, January 15, 2018 @ 11:00 A.M - at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
