Johnny Ray Burns

Johnny Ray Burns, born July 25, 1943 departed this life on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital, Hyden, Ky.  He was 74 years old.  He was born in New Jersey, the son of the late Ray Burns and Ophie Sizemore Burns.  Johnny was the former owner of Burns 421 Grocery, Hyden, Ky.  He was of the Holiness faith and  enjoyed studying and discussing Bible scriptures.  Johnny was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed mechanic work on vehicles, riding his ATV, going to flea markets & spending time with family and friends.  Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children, Barbara Burns, a beloved son; Kenny Burns, brothers; Chester, Leonard , Jimmy & Jesse Burns, sisters; Ellar, Ruby, Judy and Della.  Mr. Johnny Burns leaves the following relatives surviving; his loving and devoted daughter; Melina Brock and her husband, Ballard, brother; David Burns and wife, Linda, of London, Ky., sisters; Hazel Napier and her husband, Clayton of London, Ky., Helen Elvington and husband, Max of Tennessee, six treasured grandchildren; Cody Brock & his wife, Kelly, Travis Burns, Selena Burns, Kendra Burns, Kaitlyn Lewis, Logan Sizemore, his caretaker & special friend; Billy Brock & a host of other loved relatives and friends.



TIME AND PLACE OF FUNERAL: 12-Noon - Sunday - March 4, 2018 at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church, Asher, Ky
