Mr. Michael Coots, 40, of Hazard, Ky., departed this life on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. Michael was born on January 2, 1978 at Hyden, KY the son of Johnny Gross and Marlene Coots. By occupation he was employed by Save-A-Lot, Food City and also B.P Michael enjoyed fishing, playing basketball and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Melvin Coots, one uncle: Bobby Coots, two aunts: Teresa Coots and Wilma Coots, Step-Grandfather: Charles Hensley. He leaves surviving the following relatives: loving and devoted mother: Marlene Miller, and step-father: Hargis Miller of Grapevine, KY, beloved maternal grandmother: Helen Coots Hensley of Wooton, KY, one aunt: Anna Causey of Wooton, KY, cousins: April, Everman and Felix Causey, half brother: Jonathan Gross, half sister: Wanda Clark of Jackson, KY and also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
