Richard was the son of the late Alonzo Franks & Edna Campbell Franks. Richard was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a former coal miner. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, ginsenging, hunting & working,
Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Lucy Hubbard Franks of Asher, KY., beloved son, Richard Franks, Jr. of Asher, KY., beloved daughter, Crystal Franks of Asher, KY., brother, Russell Franks, Helton, KY. & sister, Edith Hoskins, Hyden, KY. Also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
