Carolyn Young

Carolyn Stidham Young, of Busy, Ky. was born on September 27, 1949 at Hyden, KY., the daughter of the late, Barlow Stidham & Opsie Wooton Stidham and Wife to the Late Silas Young Jr. She passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center Hazard,KY. at the age of 68. Carolyn, was a life-long resident of Leslie County. By occupation she was a retired Nurse Aide, and Custodian. Carolyn was a devoted member of the Lower Grassy Branch Church of Christ at Busy, KY. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, gardening, planting flowers, and spending time with family. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents & beloved husband. She leaves the following relatives surviving, son, Silas Ray Young & wife, Stacy, Busy, KY., daughter, Lisa Laub & husband, Jeff, Amherst, VA., Step-son Rick Young & wife, Renda, Hyden, KY grandchildren, Dylan Young, Alex Laub, Kyle Laub, Chandler Young, Katelyn Laub, Allyson Laub, & Emily Young, Step-grandchildren Erik Young, Derrick Howard, & Courtney Clay, Step-great grandchildren, Tucker Clay & Lucas Howard, brothers, Eli Stidham & Marie, Dwarf, KY., Marshall Stidham & Rosa, Sacramento, KY., & Barlow Stidham Jr. & Linda, Busy, KY., Sister, Patricia Kidd & Ralph, Hazard, KY. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. FUNERAL: 1:00 p.m. -Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Lower Grassy Branch Church of Christ, Busy, KY.
