Pamela Barrett was born July 30, 1962 in Leslie County and departed this life Monday, July 2, 2018 at her residence in McKee, being 55 years of age. Pam is survived by her dad and mom, Ulysses & Joan Barrett of Essie, KY and by her four children, Quentin Smith of Hyden, Ethan Smith of McKee, Miranda Woods of London and John Morgan of McKee. She is also survived by three sisters, Patty Barrett of Essie, Ula Barrett of McKee, Jenny Duncan of Casey County and Patty Ann Vance of Essie. Pam was blessed with nine grandchildren, Madysen Smith, Seth Smith, Wyatt Smith, Emilee Smith, Atreyu Smith, Brady Smith, Sophia Morgan, Addison Swanson and Briar Swanson. She is also survived by her birth mother and friend Gracie Gross. Pam was also preceded in death by three brothers, Pactric Barrett, Jess Gross and David Nolan. Pam was an active member of the local D.A.V. Jack Welch Chapter #165. Burial will take place in the Collett Cemetery, Essie, KY. under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. Lakes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
