Emmitt Jones

Emmitt Jones of Sizerock, KY. passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. at the age of 64. Emmitt was born January 28, 1954 in Leslie Co., KY. the son of the late, Shelby & Mary Hensley Jones. Emmitt had been a life-long resident of Leslie & Clay Co. By occupation he was a logger. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers & spending time with his family. Emmitt was a member of the Hyden Church of God, Hyden, KY. & affliated with the Sizerock Baptist Church, Sizerock, KY.

Emmitt was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Robert & Marcus Jones & 4 sisters, Ruby Jones, Louise Jones, Bernice Hudson & Marie Henegar. He leaves the following relatives surviving, his loving & devoted wife, Darlene Gipson Jones of Oneida, KY., 1 beloved son, Jeffrey Gipson (Tracy) of Sizerock, KY., 2 daughters, Jessica Carter (Larry) of Sizerock, KY. & Mary Amanda Jones of Sizerock, KY., 3 brothers, Vernon Jones (Rosa Lee) of Sizerock, KY., Russell Jones (Essie) of Sizerock, KY. & Merida Jones (Darlene) of Bear Branch, KY., 5 sisters, Helen Jones (James Larry) of Sizerock, KY., Molly Napier (Wayne) of London, KY., Martha Osborne (Paul Wayne) of London, KY., Nora Fortney (Charles) of East Bernstadt, Ky. & Lucille Baker of Oneida, KY. &  4 treasured grandchildren, Marcus Gipson, Elounzia Gipson, Alexzandra Gay & Shelby Carter. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
