THE OBITUARY OF MR. FARMER ROBERTS
Mr. Farmer Roberts, of Essie, Ky., born August 2, 1953 departed this life on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the St. Joseph London, London, Ky. Farmer was born at Essie, Ky., the son of Pauline Baker Roberts & the late Oscar "Ott "Roberts. Farmer was united in marriage to Velma Jean Whitehead on September 22, 1972. Farmer was a retired coal miner, former store owner, butcher for Ralph Howard Grocery & employee for Michael J. Bowling Construction. He was affiliated with the Stinnett Pentecostal Church & life-long resident of Leslie County. Farmer was an avid hunter, fisherman & enjoyed being at the lake however his greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family. Mr. Farmer Roberts was preceded in death by his beloved father, Oscar "Ott" Roberts, father-in-law & mother-in-law; Joe & Jessie Whitehead, four brothers-in-law; Earl Whitehead, Harold Whitehead, Rick Whitehead, James Bell, Jason Caldwell, whom he thought of a son. Mr. Farmer Roberts leaves the following relatives surviving; loving and devoted wife; Velma Jean Whitehead Roberts of Essie, Ky., his beloved mother; Pauline Baker Roberts of Essie, Ky., two beloved sons; Billy Joe Whitehead of Stinnett, Ky., Farmer Gavin Roberts and wife, Jennifer of Essie, Ky., beloved daughter; Tammy Roberts Turner & husband, Larry "Squeaky" Turner of Essie, Ky., one sister; Millicent "Micky" Bell of Essie, Ky., five treasured grandchildren; Kasey Turner, Austin Turner, Lexie Whitehead, Josie Whitehead, Caleb "Tucker" Roberts, two boys he thought of as sons; Travis Bell, Casey Caldwell and a host of other relatives and friends.
