THE OBITUARY OF MR. DEAN AVERY ADAMS
Mr. Dean Avery Adams born May 9, 1942 departed this life on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Hazard A.R.H. Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He was born at Wendover, Ky the son of the late Calfie Adams and the late Mae Begley Adams. He was a retired coal miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. Dean was a U.S. Army Veteran serving honorably in the Vietnam War. Mr Dean Avery Adams was a member of the Hazard Village Church of Christ. He enjoyed wood-working, four-wheeling, and being outdoors, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Betty Whitehead and Etta Pennington. He leaves surviving his loving and devoted wife, Stella Turner Adams of Yeaddiss, KY whom he married on Feb. 18, 1967. His loving son: Richard Adams (Dawn) of Yeaddiss, KY, devoted daughter: Jowanna Day (Ricky) of Smilax, KY, four brothers: Danny Adams (Fern) of Hyden, KY, Darrell Adams of Tupelo, MS , Dill Adams (Jewell) of Yeaddiss, KY, Paul Begley of Oklahoma, one sister: Helen Lamb of Tupelo, MS, six grandchildren: Tyler Adams, Alexis Maggard (Austin), Madison, Kendra, Matthew Day (Crystal), Amanda Brock (Steve), three great grandchildren: Adalyn, Kiana and Ariana.
